This year, Rothwell Senior Dance Troupe, Rothwell Middle School Dance Troupe. and Caboolture Dance Troupe will be competing in a variety of eisteddfods.
Caboolture Dance Troupe will be competing at the DanceLife Unite Eisteddfod, held at St John's Anglican College, Forest Lake on Saturday 21 July, followed by all troupes competing at the Beenleigh Eisteddfod, held at Logan Entertainment Centre on Monday 6 August, and finishing with Rothwell troupes competing at The Australian Pinnacle Dance Challenge held at Suncoast Events Centre on Saturday 11 August.
An eisteddfod levy of $25.00 will cover your student for their competitor’s passes and entry fees for both events. This will be charged to your Term 3 School Fees' Accounts.
Parents/friends are welcome to attend both eisteddfods. Adult entry at Beenleigh is $30.00 per day and $15.00 per session (Middle School are in session 1 at 9:00am, and Senior School in session 2 at 1:30pm). We do not yet know how many sessions we are involved in for the Pinnacle Challenge until the program comes out closer to the time, but we are anticipating being involved from around 11:00am until 3:30pm. Programs will also be available on the day at the centres. Venues are usually cash only.
Bus departure details will be confirmed closer to the event. Rothwell students should expect an early departure for Beenleigh! Please indicate on the permission form whether you would like to take the bus from the venue or whether you will use your own transport.
Students are strongly encouraged to pack food for both days as access to a canteen can be limited. We will confirm whether a stop will be made for dinner closer to the dates, depending on the schedule of events. Ensure you have all of your costume and make-up requirements as outlined by your troupe director.
We look forward to an exciting year of competition and fun for the Grace Academy dancers.
